Branding Photoshoot Nutritionist Outdoors On A Farm | Catherine Layden

The Client:

Catherine Layden, owner of Delicious Nurtritous is a board-certified holistic nutritionist and master nutrition therapist.

Our Photoshoot Goals:

Catherine’s practice is focused on fresh food and clean eating. She wants her clients to feel fun and empowered by food and fous less on prepackaged ingredients. We also wanted to show living your best life in the context of food.

I suggested we shoot her photos on a farm where we are showing fresh ingredients at their freshest. We wanted to create images that could be used for banner images with text on her website, blog, and in social media posts.

Key moments:

Capturing photos of Cathering showing a fun, positive relationship with whole foods was important to the story we were trying to tell. Poses with her showing food, playing with it (juggling), and being silly converys her personality and the message underlying her brand.

I also shot images of her just spinning around in circles with little but the sky in the background. This type of imagery shows the freedom that can be obtained by a different relationship with food, and also the freedom of feeling positive about yourself. From a technical standpint, I am also shooting images with text and graphics in mind, knowing that images might be used in different types of marketing campaigns.
